My HCG Diet Tips

HCG Diet

Another year and another resolution to lose weight? How many times did you say to yourself? Did your old diet plan never worked out? As time goes by, many diet plans has been revealed and comes to its rise. Want to try something new for diet? Perhaps something that includes science? Let me introduce you to HCG diet and how it all started.

HCG diet had long enough been on debate since a British endocrinologist released a book that reveals the use of HCG for possible weight loss.  So what is HCG exactly? HCG or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin/Gonadotrophin is a glycoprotein hormone that comprises 237 amino acids produced by a pregnant woman during pregnancy. It was dated back 1912 in Vienna when HCG was discovered by Bernhard Aschner but it was only in 1927 when it was found in a pregnant woman’s urine. Extracted from a pregnant woman’s urine is a placenta where a large amount of HCG was found. Scientifically, HCG is used in treatment for infertility in women to help induce ovulation.  The idea of the use of HCG for weight loss emerged when Dr. ATW Simeons observed that while treating adolescent boys’ low testosterone levels with the help of HCG, they began to slim down and losing abnormal belly fat. He hypothesized then that since HCG has positive effects in the hypothalamus gland, in part, HCG and the gland contributes to the regulation of normal and abnormal fats.

For over 10 year, Dr. Simeons experimented the use of HCG for possible weight loss and diet for both male and females and realizes the ability of losing extraordinary amount of excessive fats in a really short time. Dr. Simeons discovery was gone viral that doctors and health practitioners traveled to Dr. Simeon to learn more about HCG and dieting. In 1967, he published a book called Pounds and Inches, a New Approach to Obesity, explains and claims the use of HCG for weight loss through injections, thus HCG diet began. The book explains everything in detail on how to use the HCG diet, from the protocol to the quantity of food to consume. It is claimed that through HCG injection, a person can lose up to 5 pounds per week targeting troubled areas and eliminates shoulder fats, hips, thighs, and etc.

Years later, HCG diet was declined by many practitioners and never received an FDA approval for better weight loss.
It was again in 2007 when Kevin Trudeau released the book “The Weight Loss Cure, What THEY Don’t Want You to Know,” people stirred back interest in Dr. Simeons’s HCG diet. The book reveals enough information about the HCG diet.

Today, HCG diet has been offered to the general public through professional clinics that’s been offering HCG for weight loss. It’s also been offered through the internet, but because of lack of professional knowledge by the people it has high failure rating. My advice: consult the guidance of a professional if you want to try HCG Diet.
